i don't. i wouldn't have that image up in my house. it looks like photo-realistic painting from protestants or from the russian orthodox during a non-traditional period in the mid to late 1800's. but what do you mean by magical? do you mean by magical that it looks nice?

What do you mean by magical? Can you explain why you like this image? I tend to like more ancient images of Christ... but I look forward to hearing more about why you chose this one. I am glad you are thinking about God. When I was ten years old I wasn't thinking about God at all.

You know, Red, this 'magical' picture actually looks like an imitation of another similar one by an artist named Warner Sallman, called "Head of Christ." It's pretty famous. The Salvation Army (yep, the people the ring the bells in the Mall at Christmas to raise money for the poor) hired Sallman to paint an image of Christ, and then they gave a little copy of the picture out to every soldier that went to fight in World War Two.

One of the funnier sort of things though, is that this Warner Sallman guy was Swedish, and the way he paints Jesus makes him look quite Scandinavian as well, and well-shampooed.
