Harmful Places

Hi it’s me Red

I walked down Hastings St. today. It was awful, there were drug addicts everywhere
not to mention the hobos. It was crazy. I also had to face the fishy smells of Chinatown, a lot of fish. I am glad that’s over. I should go now.
By the way what’s the worst place you have ever been? I also dislike Whalley and Guildford.

Hey, what's wrong with Whalley? I live in Whalley!
....
and, seeing as I live there, I can actually kind of guess what's wrong with Whalley.
ick.
My least favourite place? Hmmm.... Well, downtown Van is definitely pretty awful. But, I'd have to say, the scummy little hotel that we stayed in in Paris. Yuck. Paris is just a dirty, dirty city.
The the Eiffel Tower is pretty at night.

I think my least favourite place is the bus station in Birmingham, England, or the West Edmonton Mall. I mean, the water park is okay, but the rest of the Mall is just crazy!

The French Quarter.

kimberely,
i think that there is a reason N.O. is sinking....just a guess, of course, it could be just an accident.....or, is there such a thing as an accident?

i think - no accidents.

i was there about four months, and have never been more thankful to return home.

least favourite place=being at a party with lots of people around but no one there i am able to connect with. or feeling so out of place in such a setting that i have to escape. those are my least favourite places.

I should agree with you Thomas, and clarify, I hate being alone in a crowd too. its almost worse, because when with myself, or our Father, in the forest, or on a lake/river, its not always alone-ness. but with a bunch of people who are not there...its hard.

yoe, Bo, I also dislike walking by the skytrain station around Dr.Dyck's office; and, as your Papa, I should add you demonstrate good sense by being wary of such places. If you go to such a place bring me and a bat! Never go alone there.

I used to work in that area of Vancouver doing ambulance calls.
Something to think; all of those people that are lying in doorways or pacing on the street or acting weird or using drugs or trying to find drugs all came from somewhere else. What happens in people's lives that make that horrible life their best choice? Every choice we make (even at 9 or 10) leads us somewhere....pray God away from "the skids" and to God. Be prepared Hannah, you and Luke and Eli and Esme are going to ride along with me in the ambulance when you are 16 or so. Get ready!!! And I agree with you...Surrey is the new East Van...spoken purely from a paramdic point of view!
